Feeding a hungry teen.

Feeding a hungry teen.

Top tips from our listeners:

Give them their own cupboard/fridge shelf with foods they are allowed to eat.

bermudatriangle loves the idea of sending them food shopping with their own money to start understanding the prices.

fp-massage suggests a part time job. She says it's amazing when teens start earning and paying for themselves how suddenly they make more conscious spending decisions.

Young and Cooper says her eldest are both now working part time and topping up the weekly shop with all their protein yoghurts and extra meat; one of them is working at Waitrose, which is ideal!

Use a padlock, or do what Susie does and hide food you don't want them to eat.

Use teenage laziness to your advantage by leaving out filling/healthy things that are easy to eat if they come in starving.
